Welcome to Santa Fe Imaging. We are pleased that you have selected us for your radiology needs. We take this responsibility very seriously and recognize the importance of providing quality health care in a pleasant environment. For your convenience we have recently remodeled our center to include a beautiful and comfortable women's imaging area.

This page has been prepared to answer some of your questions and to acquaint you with our procedures and policies. As a team we are committed to providing the highest standard of radiology service and as a result of our relationship, hope you will return to Santa Fe Imaging and recommend us to your family and friends.

Appointments may be scheduled at our 1640 Hospital Drive location by phoning 505-983-9350. We encourage you to make an appointment and realize your time is valuable; therefore we try to remain on schedule to minimize your waiting. On occasion an emergency may make us late, but we will inform you of such occurrence. Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment to allow us processing of your paper work. If you cannot keep your appointment, kindly notify the office as early in the day as possible, so that your time may be made available to another patient and your appointment rescheduled. Walk-ins for plain film x-rays  are also welcome.

We strive to provide patients with schedules that meet their individual needs. If the patient desires a specific date and time, we will give it to them if available. If no particular preference is stated, we offer the first available opening. In plain film x-ray we will explain our walk-in capabilities for those patients who would rather come in at their convenience with the possibility of a wait. We do everything with in our means to accommodate "STAT" procedures.

A physician must order all of our examinations. Each patient should be given a signed request slip (similar to a prescription) to bring to Santa Fe Imaging. Health Care Financing Administration Guidelines dictate that we do not perform a study without a referring physicians order. Therefore, if we do not have your order, we will be obligated to reschedule your appointment

Fees for all services are due at time service is rendered. However, we attempt to make this payment procedure as convenient as possible by accepting Visa, MasterCard, cash, check or money order.  In addition, we participate in many HMOs and insurance programs, as well as in the Medicare and Medicaid programs.

If you have insurance, we will be happy to help you take advantage of your plan's benefits. Insurance plans are different and it is impossible for us to know the intricacies of each, but we will help you in every way we can in filing your claim and handling insurance questions. Please remember that insurance is considered a method of reimbursing a patient for fees paid to a doctor and is not a substitute for payment. You are responsible for your account when services are rendered unless other arrangements have been made through the business office.

Generally all communication regarding your study is with the referring physician.
